Tapping In: Expression, Communication & Returning to Source
I believe we are born to be creative—born to express ourselves freely, to be authentic, and to live in alignment with who we truly are—not who society or dogmatic education systems tell us we should be.
But somewhere along the way, we got lost.
We’ve lost ourselves in a world of constant distraction and technology. Children no longer play outside; they're often stuck—addicted to their devices. We all see it. We all talk about it. And yet, parents are feeling helpless in the battleground of screen time. It’s sad and deeply disturbing to witness what is becoming of our connection to life.
For me, creativity is the remedy.
Communication, interaction, and expression—these are the threads that weave our human tapestry. We are all connected. We are all ONE. So how do we come back to that? How do we rediscover our inner world in a way that allows us to feel confident and secure in the outer world?
I believe the answer lies in communication. In finding the courage to express our inner emotional landscape—without fear, without judgment.
Easier said than done, I know.
But if we don’t, we become robotic—repeating old programming, following invisible instructions given to us as children that whispered: You’re not good enough.
I hear this so often when I coach my clients—especially among the younger generation. They strive for perfection, work long hours, and burn themselves out in the pursuit of success and recognition. But who is validating them? What are we even measuring ourselves against?
Does perfection even exist?
And is burning ourselves out really the validation we need?
Who gets to define our worth?
Can we instead learn to validate ourselves—to trust that authentic expression from the heart can never be wrong?
To do that, we must find the voice of the heart—not the voice of fear, not the ego.
How do we know which voice is speaking?
The body always knows.
Tune in to its sensations. What emotions are triggered? If it feels right, you might sense a warm, fuzzy feeling. Excitement. Butterflies. A calm body, not one bracing itself for judgment or rejection.
My Personal Remedy
I write.
I write down my thoughts, my emotions. I sit with them. I feel them in my body. In yoga, I tune into the sensations that the asanas highlight—and I breathe. I breathe into whatever discomfort surfaces.
I create.
When I make jewelry, draw, dance, sing, or write—I lose myself in the creative flow. I enter a space of bliss, of timelessness. Something else takes over. It’s no longer "me" creating—it’s something flowing through me. It’s transmission.
Expression is my connection to Source.
To God. To Creation. Whatever we choose to call it.
It reminds me that I am so much more than this body and identity.
I am all and everything.
