Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a holistic approach to healing that works through gentle manipulation of the body’s muscles, tissues, and bones. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, it looks at the body as an interconnected whole. For yogis and yoginis, osteopathy can be a supportive practice that helps restore mobility, release tension, and create more freedom in movement—both on and off the mat.

One of the biggest challenge of my life is to introduce osteopathy to Indonesian people. After 6 years of study in Collège Ostéopathique Sutherland, France, I decided to move to Jakarta in 2014 to practise and moved to bali in 2018. This kind of manual medicine is not common within indonesians whereas it becomes trusted alternative medicine overseas.

Description of Osteopathy:

Osteopathy is a form of manual medicine that emphasizes the relationship between the body’s structure (bones, muscles, joints, fascia) and its function. Osteopaths use hands-on techniques such as stretching, massage, joint, fascia and viscreal manipulation to:

• Relieve pain and tension

• Improve mobility and circulation

• Support the body’s natural healing processes

It’s often used for musculoskeletal issues like back pain, neck pain, and sports injuries, but osteopaths may also address broader health concerns by viewing the body as an interconnected whole.
